ELC

What is the ELC?  The ELC or Executive Leadership Conference is an annual training event for staff of the Alabama Department of Corrections (ADOC).

When was it initiated? The first ELC training event was held in 2008

Purpose of ELC? The ELC is hosted by the Alabama Department of Corrections and is an event designed to enhance leadership skills and foster collaboration among correctional facility heads and division directors. This conference provides a platform for training, networking, and sharing best practices within the corrections community. The event features keynote speakers, panel discussions, and presentations from various experts in the field. The ELC has a standing organizational committee which is chaired by ADOC’s Training Division Director.

What’s ELC’s relationship to the ACESF?  In 2022, the Alabama Correctional Employee Support Fund (ACESF) assumed operational funding of the ELC under its umbrella.

How can supporters contribute? Most of the costs for the annual ELC event are covered by sponsorships and donations by ADOC business partners and supporters.  These funds are critical to the ELC’s mission and provide valuable resources for attendees.
