The Alabama Correctional Employee Support Fund (ACESF) is now accepting scholarship applications for the 2022 calendar year.

The application with all required attachments and submissions must be postmarked no later than March 1st, 2024.

We ask that all Division Directors and Correctional Wardens ensure this e-mail is posted for those employees who do not have access to electronic mail.

The number of scholarship awards depends upon donations received by the ACESF, and the previous calendar year-end fund balance.

Scholarship amounts are $1,000 for undergraduate students and $1,500 for graduate students.  Additionally, the ACESF will award two memorial scholarships - the Charles and Doris Farquhar Memorial Scholarship ($2,500) and the ADOC Fallen Officer Memorial Scholarship ($1,500).  Previous award winners are eligible for $500 scholarships.

Official high school or college transcripts are considered along with test scores, grade point average, recommendation letters, extracurricular activities, and an essay describing the students career aspirations.
